The Seasiders ended their season playing hosts to the Devonians on tour in Dorset and according to coach Barry Ross Mackenzie: “We didn’t give them the respect they deserved and should have put more of the first team squad out on the park against them”.

For the visitors prop Chris Johns was first to cross for a try followed by lock Steve Long, flanker Jude Roten, hooker Dave Goodsby, wing forward Al Evans, wing three-quarter Charlie Harry, number 8 Jake Phillips, winger Stuart Homes and fly half Will Tompkins.

Weymouth who led by 33 points to 25 mid way through the second half only to be pegged back in the final quarter scored five tries two by skipper, number 8 Tony Worle and one each from fly half Nathan Allan his dad, scrum half Dave Allan with the Seasiders’ final score coming from wing Iain MacConnachie.

Ryan Lewenden was successful with the boot for Weymouth adding four conversions.
