COVENTRY have bolstered their squad to 26 by signing two more young prospects, centre Todd Freemantle and back-row forward Matt Tibbets.

Coventry-born Freemantle, 20, is a Coundon Court School old boy who earned representative honours for Warwickshire and The Midlands during his spell with Earlsdon.

And he is the latest product of a proud Cov dynasty with father Steve and uncle Roy both having played for the club at hooker.

He says he is relishing the challenge of stepping up to National League One with his home-town club this season and enjoying the pre-season fitness training.

Tibbets, 21 , moved to the Butts Park Arena from Hartpury College, where he has just obtained his degree.

Born in Birmingham, Matt attended Archbishop Illsley School, Birmingham, and has been involved in the Moseley junior set-up since the age of five.

He feels that Coventry will offer him more opportunities of establishing himself as a first-team regular.

A tough-tackling player, he prefers the No.6 role but had played at No.7 for Hartpury under the coaching of Allan Lewis.
