JUL
Pershore RFC are now into their third week of pre season training. So
far they have endured aerobics and boxing with swimming also on the
agenda in the coming weeks. Coach Charlie Hemmings hopes that the
variety of training during pre season will give the players improved
levels of fitness and save from the boredom bleep tests and long runs.
The coming season is due to be the last for the long standing Pershore
coach as his North Midlands RFU duties take their toll. On the field the
Piddle Park outfit will be led by prop Alex Peel with centre Matt Cyphus
as his vice captain.
The league fixtures for the new season have been published and the
opening league game will see Pershore entertain Coventry based Barkers
Butts with a trip to Gloucestershire to face Cheltenham North the
following week. If you are interested in joining a local club players of
all abilities are welcome at training. A full schedule of training can
be found at www.prfc.co.uk or contact Alex Peel on 07772979316
