Millwall Rugby Club are set to celebrate the end of their long season with their annual festival on the Isle of Dogs this Saturday(26th of April 2008), with matches being played at Mudchute Farm.

With the official league season drawing to a close, the Isle of Dogs club have begun preparations for their annual Millwall England versus Millwall Rest of the World match, where all the English Adult mens players from the club take on a Barbarians-like team featuring players from over 15 countries.

The festival day also features matches from the Millwall U12s, U14s, Millwall Venus the clubs Ladies section and the hugely successful U16s.

Festivities will kick off at 11am and with BBQs, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting and refreshments all available, this promises to be a carnival-like end to another successful season at Millwall RFC.

The progression of their club house development, a pitch and posts on Millwall Park, growing youth section and overall good results on the pitch, has shown Millwall RFC to be one of the most progressive rugby clubs in the Capital and will be using this opportunity to share their success with the local community.

The Lower Paddock at Mudchute Farm is located off Pier Street, E14 and all spectators and supporters are welcome.

Meanwhile, Millwalls U16s were knocked back by a vastly experienced Brentwood side, as they were defeated 43-5 at Millwall Park on Sunday.

Facing an uphill battle with Brentwood sporting a bigger, faster team, the young lions fought till the very end, with their relentlessness paying off, as winger Charlie Nagel grabbed a try after some superb kicking from Billy Gray in the final minutes of the match.

The U16s will face East London U16s at the Festival of Rugby on Sat 26th of April on the Lower Paddock, Mudchute Farm.
