Your News Pershore 105 - Kings Norton 0

Pershore produced a clinical display of running rugby at Piddle Park on Saturday when they trounced Kings Norton by 105-0. With recent results showing an improvement by Kings Norton, it could have been a potential banana skin, but Pershore at last produced a ruthless streak , to comprehensively beat Kings Norton . As with the rest of this season, good set piece from the scrummage, and an efficient line out, gave Pershores backs, plenty of ball to feed on.

Forwards and backs connected well in an open game that saw a first half hat trick for winger Stefan Ellis. Number 8 Martin Hope, Second Row Marcus Whyte, Prop Steve Holmes & Fly Half Lewis Dolphin each chipped in with a brace. The other scores came from Second Row Toby Grace, Prop Alex Peel, Flanker Chris Copson, Winger Matt Harwood, Captain Adrian Hanson & replacement prop Carl Redman , to give a total of 17 tries scored. Full back Will Woodhouse made his personal tally for the day 20 points after adding 10 conversions. Pershore now need just 1 point from their remaining 2 league fixtures to guarantee promotion.

They will now have a break from league Rugby as they fulfil a cup fixture against Moseley Oak RFC under the floodlights at Worcester Wanderers on Wednesday 31st March, kick off 7.30pm
