Weymouth enjoy hosting HMS Portland

Weymouth rugby club hosted the ship's company of HMS Portland who were visiting their home port during the 1000 days to the Olympic Games celebrations.
The Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy will be the base for the Olympic sailing events during the 2012 Olympic Games.
A rugby match between the Seasider's Pirates xv and the ship's rugby team took place with HMS Portland winning by 29 points to 22.
