After beating Exeter & booking their place at Twickenham Moseley came to Castle Park looking to claim their second scalp in a fortnight, and despite taking a narrow lead into the break they were comfortably beaten by the Knights who ran in four second half tries.

Playing into the head on wind the Knights started the better of the sides and were first to score, Jamie Lennard kicking his first penalty of the afternoon after ten minutes. Soon after the restart the Knights were penalised and Moseley full back Ollie Thomas kicked the first of three first half penalties for the visitors. His second came on twenty minutes and five minutes he added the third after Hudson Tonga'uiha was penalised for an intentional knock on. As Moseley lost prop Nathan Williams for persistent altercations at the scrum, Lennard added his second penalty. Moseley then punished a Knights error as Wes Davies knocked on from the restart, Richard Vasey kicking a drop goal after the kick had been set up by his forwards. In the final minute of the half the Knights scored the first try of the afternoon, Bevon Armitage on hand to go over after the forwards has made good ground into the visitors half.

Playing with the wind for the second half, the Knights scored two tries in quick succession. Winger Wes Davies & fly half Lennard both breaking their way through the Moseley line to score. Lennard added another penalty shortly after, punishing another error from Moseley. Captain Glen Kenworthy made sure of the bonus point with a try on the hour after the Doncaster forwards barged their way over after winning a line out ten metres from the Moseley line. Moseley grabbed a consolation try with ten minutes to go as flanker Adam Whitney found himself on the wing and going over in the corner.
