The Bees were out in support of the National Premiere of Birmingham based film Clubbed yesterday evening, which took place at Cineworld, Broad Street complete with red carpet treatment.

Shot on location in Birmingham with the help of Screen West Midlands, the film showcases many parts of the city including Digbeth, Sparkbrook and Edgbaston revealing both the harshness and vibrancy of inner city culture.

It's success could mean greater support in the future for budding writers and aspiring filmmakers from the region, so it was apt that the Bees got behind the event in appreciation of all good things to come out of the city.

"It was quite an honour to be invited to the film's premiere" commented Jo Kilby, Bees PR Manager "for the team it was a fun way to proudly represent the Bees and Birmingham whilst championing a home-grown film.

Starring Colin Salmon (Alien vs. Predator, Die Another Day) Mel Raido and the up and coming Aicha Mckenzie, Clubbed is in cinemas nationwide this Friday.
