The home team got off to a spirited start,
keeping play up in their opponents' half for long periods, but
foiled by the odd costly knock-on. On a rare incursion into their
hosts' twenty-two Ponty fashioned a score as scrum half Dane
Blacker chipped ahead and gathered to touch down, with outside half
Diggy Bird adding the conversion.
