Your News Roses finale to North U18 programme

England RU Under 18 hopefuls from the North get their last chance to impress the divisional selectors at Ripon on Sunday (Nov 23) when he final brace of matches in the Northern series of trial games will be played.

Durham and Cumbria, two sides looking for their opening win, are first into action at Mallorie Park at 11.30, followed by the Roses match at 2pm, when two unbeaten sides face each other.

An interesting cameo in the second game features two lads from Ripon - Sam Watkinson, the Yorkshire fly-half, and Matt Spedding, who plays in the second-row for Lancashire.

Both played together for Ripon junior and for Yorkshire at Under 16 level before Matt's family moved across the Pennines.
