Swanage & Wareham moved up to fifth place in the South West 2(E) league with this impressive victory against the team from Milton Keynes Swans won by six converted tries and two penalty goals against one try to the opposition.

Swans started the scoring with a penalty goal by fly half Phil Graves, but his opposite number for Bletchley, Jack Cussons worked his way through the Swans defence to score a try close to the posts. 3 5 after 15 minutes. However Phil Graves restored Swans lead with his second penalty kick three minutes later. From a scrum, Swans flank forward Chris Tomes broke clear, running 70 metres to score a try under the posts. Phil Graves added the extras 13 5. From then on it was a procession for Swans, who had most of the possession and territory. On 29 minutes full back Chris Leak broke clear down the wing, put the ball inside to winger Charlie Parish who went in for a converted try. (20 5) Four minutes later from a catch/drive move captain and hooker Robert Elford drove over for another converted try 27 5 and his brother David Elford was on hand to collect a pass from another run of 60metres by Chris Leak to go in for a converted try 34 5 at half time.

Early in the second half Swans had to make a couple of replacements due to injuries of Chris Leak and David Elford, but with ten minutes gone of the half James Spensley, on for Leak, worked his way 50 metres through the Bletchley defence with a mazy run to score a converted try under the posts 41- 5. Swans finally wrapped the scoring when from a line out the ball was worked to winger Charlie Parish who went in for his second try. Phil Graves landed eight kicks out of eight attempts for a 100% tally.
