Bristol Rugby make three changes from the side that beat Rotherham in the last RFU Championship outing, as Middleton's men make the trip to second-placed Bedford on Saturday (3pm KO).

Ruki Tipuna will skipper the side after replacing James Grindal at scrum half, while Wayne Thompson and Marco Mama come into the pack.

Fautua Otto and Luke Eves form the midfield partnership, while George Watkins - who has five tries in his last seven games - is named on the wing.

Middleton opts for a four forwards and three backs split on the replacements bench, with James Merriman included in the 22-man squad.
