Redruth demonstrated their title-winning credentials with a 26-22 win over SSE National Two South league leaders Worthing. The Reds overcame a rusty start to score four tries in a win that leaves them just eight points adrift of the Sussex club with two games in hand. No.8 Tom Duncan bagged another brace of tries to take his tally for the season to an impressive 15 Ė two more than his nearest rival, Ian Clark of Hartpury. The result was also good news for second-placed Henley who had a rest weekend.

Hartpury College lost third spot to the Reds after losing at home to Canterbury. The Kent club staged an extraordinary second-half comeback to recover from a 26-point half-time deficit and claim maximum points from their trip to Gloucestershire. Tom Bestís 80-minute penalty completed the remarkable turnaround.

Taunton Titans leapfrogged Lydney at the wrong end of the table after a 28-10 win away to Clifton. Gary Kingdomís second-minute penalty got the scoreboard moving for Taunton whose other points all came from tries.

Chinnor completed the double over the relegation-threatened Lydney whose task does not get any easier with a visit from high-flying Henley Hawks next weekend. Lydney are now in the bottom three, one point behind Taunton. Chinnorís 29-17 victory came courtesy of tries from Frank Jones, Leo Fielding, David Hughes and Sam Stoop.

Daniel Legge picked up the man-of-the-match award for Southend in his first game back from long-term injury. The No.8 scored one of the Seasidersí three tries in a 20-17 win over in-form Launceston. Second-from-bottom Southend held on for their fourth victory of the season despite losing three men to the sin-bin in the final five minutes.

A faultless kicking display by debutant Rory Hutchinson earned Shelford four points at home to Bournemouth. The centre kicked three penalties and added the extras onto tries from No.8 Aki Lea (2) and winger Alex Kelsall for a 15-point personal haul.

The game between Dings Crusaders and Barking was postponed.
