Pershore were the emphatic victors in Saturdays fixture against lowly Edwardians at Piddle Park.

In the first half Pershore looked comfortable to allow Edwardians to have the ball. The defence was tight and the home side won turnovers at will. The Pershore back line were clinical, and when the turnovers arose none were more clinical than full back Matt Harwood who claimed a first half hat-trick. He was joined on the scoresheet by number 8 Martin Hope, scrum half Adrian Hanson & teenage centre Stefan Ellis. Fly half Will Woodhouse was successful with 4 out of his 6 first half kicks to give Pershore an interval lead of 38-0.

The second half was similar, the forwards made easy work of the set piece and continued to punch holes in the Edwardians defence through strong running by Hope and prop Alex Peel. Winger Marcus Whyte got himself a second half brace after coming off his wing and scoring both tries under the posts. Another hat trick was completed late in the second half when Ellis went over the line twice more to complete a 62-0 victory for the Piddle Park outfit. Pershore will next week entertain Bedworth, who currently lie one point above them in the league.

Pershore second won on their travels with a 19-5 victory against Old Yardeians. They were helped on the way by a dominant forwards display and a superb solo try by winger Rob McKechnie.
