The London region continues to dominate SSE National League One with capital clubs occupying three of the top four places in the division. Ealing Trailfinders are still out in front despite their failure to win for the first time this season. Mike Cudmores men were held to a draw at Richmond, three tries in the last 10 minutes earning them a share of the spoils and three points two for the draw and one for scoring four tries.

Blackheath turned on the style to blow away Blaydon and leapfrog Cinderford into second. Full-back Nick Canty scored two of Clubs six tries, while fly-half Rory Teague contributed 16 points through a try, four conversions and a penalty.

Cinderford had to be content with two bonus points from their trip to the north-east, where Tynedale recorded a 36-30 victory. The margin of victory would have been much greater had Tynedale not conceded three tries at the death, when they were down to 14 men. Full-back Peter Moralee got two of the home sides six tries.

Fourth-placed Rosslyn Park ran in three tries to see off a spirited Coventry side that had won its last two games.

The highest score of the day came at Molesey Road where Esher beat Old Albanians 54-41. An eventful game saw 14 tries scored and three yellow cards awarded. Esher came out on top on both counts, registering eight tries to Old Albanians six, while Kris Chesney and Andy Garner both spent time in the sin-bin. Seventeen of the visitors points came in the final 10 minutes.

Fylde edged out Sedgley Park by 12 points to 11 in a fiercely contested Lancashire derby at The Woodlands. All of the home sides points came in the second half, with Namibian scrum-half Ryan de la Harpes 76th-minute try, converted by Chris Johnson, proving crucial.

Macclesfield recorded their first win at the sixth attempt, and they did so in some style after running in six tries against Cambridge. But Loughborough Students remain winless after crashing to a 32-10 home defeat at the hands of Wharfedale.
