Henley Hawks continue to fly high at the top of the National Two South table after maintaining their perfect start to the season with a crushing home win over Clifton. James Comben crossed the visitors line twice as did Danny Wells and Matt Payne to take his tally to the season to seven. Comben also weighed in with 16 points from the tee in a thoroughly dominant display from the Dry Leas outfit.

Not to be outdone, nearest rivals Worthing smashed Canterbury in a try-fest on the south coast. Nine of the games 14 tries went to the Raiders, with winger Jack Maslen grabbing four of them. Third-placed Shelford are level with Worthing on 15 points after achieving their third try-bonus point victory of the season at Taunton.

Chinnor bounced back from their defeat at Bournemouth the previous week in impressive fashion, securing a 34-18 win at home to Barking. Barking remain without a win and rooted to the foot of the table.

Dings Crusaders are also still searching for their first win and points of the campaign. Mark Woodrows boot kept the Bristolians in the hunt at home to Launceston, but a late converted try from Richard Bright sealed a deserved victory for the Cornish All Blacks.

Launcestons Cornish rivals Redruth were also winners on the day, with Bournemouth leaving the Duchy having to be content with the consolation of a losing bonus point. It was the Reds third straight win of the season and confidence will be high that they can make it win number four next Saturday with a trip to Barking in prospect.

Southend saw off Lydney in a scrappy encounter at Warners Bridge. Southend led for all bar a four-minute period at the start of the second half and ended up winning by 20 points to 13.
