Jersey hold a thirteen point lead at the top of the National One table after securing a narrow victory at Sedgley Park while two of their title rivals, Rosslyn Park and Ealing, were

defeated in the North of England. Ross Broadfoot's penalty just after the hour mark the only score of the second period - proved crucial to the outcome at Park Lane.

Ealing remain in second place ahead of Fylde on points difference thanks to the losing bonus point they picked up in going down to a surprise 12-10 defeat at Blaydon. The identity of

Blaydons two- try hero was just as unlikely as the result, with prop Robbie Kalbraier crossing the Londoners line near the beginning and the end of the game. Rosslyn Park fell to the

narrowest of losses, going down to an 8-7 defeat in the Yorkshire Dales at the hands of Wharfedale.

On one of the most competitive weekends in the divisions history, six of the eight games played ended with the losing side being rewarded with a bonus point. That statistic will be of

little consolation to Tynedale who pushed Fylde all the way before falling to Ewan Stewarts game- clinching try ten minutes from time. There were further narrow away wins for

Cinderford and Blackheath against Stourbridge and Barking respectively.

Macclesfield, meanwhile, made it eight wins in ten matches with a 40-10 victory over Coventry and Birmingham & Solihull recorded only their third away win of the campaign at
