Old Albanians warmed up for the visit of league leaders Richmond with another fine victory. In a game of five yellow cards, Old A’s extended their winning streak to nine matches with a

32-18 success away to promotion rivals Hartpury College. Richmond, meanwhile, go into Saturday's top- of- the- table clash with a nine- point lead thanks to a 53-14 win at home to

Taunton, who had prolific wing Reuben Haile to thank for both their tries in reply to Richmond’s eight. Haile took his tally to 20 for the season, leaving him just one behind Hartpury’s Ian

Clark, who also scored twice in the defeat to Old Albanians.

Worthing occupy third place in the table – one point behind Old A’s and two points above Hartpury – after a 29-5 win at home to Southend. Henley are level on points with Hartpury after

a six tries to three win over Redruth.

Barnes achieved back- to- back wins for the first time this season after they followed up last weekend’s win over Southend with a 37-21 victory against fellow strugglers Hertford.

Hertford are now within touching distance of the bottom three, with just four points separating themselves from Barnes and Dings Crusaders, who boosted their own survival prospects

and dented Westcombe Park’s at the same time with a 32-18 win over the league’s basement side.

Elsewhere, Shelford withstood a second half fightback from hosts Launceston to leave Polson Bridge with the points, while Lydney were beaten for the seventh time at home after

losing to Clifton.
