On Wednesday evening at North Dorset’s Slaughtergate ground Weymouth lock horns with Supermarine from Swindon in the County Shield final kick off 7.30 pm.

The Seasiders and RFU Coach of the Year Paul “Pablo” Harding said: “We made it to the final last season, but were beaten by Blandford at Dorchester and I had no problems with the outcome of that game as Blandford were the better side on the day. However our current squad of players are stronger than last year and we are confident, but not over confident”.

“We are currently on top of Dorset and Wilts. Division one south and have played some good rugby this season, but we have had a couple of losses along the way. We are planning to take a large group of supporters with us and hope not to disappoint them again, but despite all of this, promotion into the Southern Counties league remains our target for this season”.
