Your News Leicester Lions secure new sponsorship deal

LEICESTER Lions have secured a novel sponsorship deal with local training provider Qdos which offers school leavers at the National Two North club to be placed on apprenticeship schemes.

Qdos, who specialise in IT training, will have their company name prominently displayed on the Lions 4th XV shirts this season but they will also use their training expertise to place players in the 16-18 age band in apprenticeship schemes and any Leicester Lions play on NVQ courses.

Its a cracking opportunity for lads to play rugby and get qualifications and even a job, said Stu Watson, the chairman of Leicester Lions youth section.

Its a novel approach to sponsorship and we dont believe that there are many other clubs in the country who can offer this sort of opportunity.

Qdos are a local training provider with access to government-funded training courses and they have promised to help place Leicester Lions players at the top end of our junior section on apprenticeship schemes and anyone within the club on NVQ courses.
