Your News Brett Davey ready for Pirates challenge

Brett Davey has made two changes to his starting line-up from last weeks disappointing loss to Bristol Rugby as he returns to his former club.

The back-row duo of Michael Noone and David Bradford will both make their starting debut for the Knights against last seasons Championship runners-up Cornish Pirates.

Director of Rugby, Davey will return to his old stomping ground hoping for an improvement from his recently assembled squad as they begin to lay the foundations for a successful campaign.

Obviously its going to be a tough game down there - they managed an away draw last week and will now be under pressure to perform in front of their home support.

Theyve had two good seasons and will be looking for promotion, but we are looking forward to the match, its another opportunity to have a look at the players who are coming through our system and see how we go.

The performance wasnt that bad last week, but there are a lot of improvements to be made. Maybe our three pre-season friendly fixtures werent of high enough quality, but its a balancing act when you have a small squad and we didnt want to risk any injuries.
