Your News Midlands U20 set for Ulster test

MIDLANDS Under 20s have named 13 players who played against the North in an England Counties Under 20s trial match at the end of last season for their meeting with Ulster Academy Under 20s at Broadstreet RFC on Friday August 12 (12pm).

The Midlands limbered up for their second match against Ulster, a return from last season’s encounter in Belfast, with a 21-21 draw with Irish Exiles Under 20s at Moseley last Sunday.

Ulster are expected to provide tougher opposition than the Exiles and the Midlands have been forced to make changes from Sunday’s squad.

Scrum-half Joel Dudley is unavailable because of his commitments with Worcester Warriors Academy so his place has been taken by Grant Hancox of Warwickshire.

Hooker Tom Crozier, prop Dan Loughlan and fly-half Caolan Ryan, who kicked three conversions for the Exiles at Moseley, switches to the Midlands squad against Ulster.
