Seghill Rugby Club are back in pre-season training, as they build up to their second season in Durham and Northumberland Division 3.

The Seghill players will be put through their paces in a pre-season friendly against local rivals Blyth, on August 13th, as they prepare to open their league campaign at home to Hartlepool BBOB on September 3rd.

In the same opening fixture last season, Seghill took a narrow 17-14 victory, after Hartlepool had taken an early lead. New first XV captain, James Goodwin will be hoping his players can increase their margin of victory this time around.

Frazer Hill continues as Deputies captain for a second season.

Seghill are always happy to welcome new players to the club, either at junior or senior level. Anyone interested can contact George Arnott on 07711982506 for more details, or go along to the training sessions at Wefare Park. Seniors train from 7pm on Tuesday's and Juniors from 7:15 on Thursdays.
