Your News Cornish Pirates to play Leeds on Sky TV

It has been confirmed that the Cornish Pirates versus Leeds Carnegie match originally scheduled to take place on Sunday 25th September, will now be played on Saturday the 24th instead.

The reason for change is because Sky TV made a request to broadcast this important fixture 'live', which has been agreed to. The match will kick off at 4.15pm.

Viewers who watched the RFU Championship action shown on Sky TV last season found it more open and exciting, with a high number of tries scored, and many clearly enjoyed the atmosphere created when games were broadcast from the Mennaye Field.

Another particularly important fixture date for supporters to note is that the Cornish Pirates versus Plymouth Albion match in December will be played on Christmas Eve, when the kick-off will be at 2pm.

On Saturday 20th August (ko 5pm), the Cornish Pirates will open their 2011-12 season with a tough friendly match at home to Premiership side Exeter Chiefs. Admission for this 'all pay' game will be 10 for adults and 2 for children under 16 - includes stand seating, covered or otherwise, on a first come first served basis. Tickets are now available at and can also be purchased at the ticket office from Monday 25th July. The ticket office at the clubhouse in Alexandra Road, Penzance, is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm.
