Your News Albion sign backs duo

PLYMOUTH Albion have boosted their backs options this week by signing Blackheath's prolific winger Tyson Lewis and Hartpury College's points machine James Love.

Lewis arrives at Brickfields after scoring 34 league tries in two seasons for Blackheath in National One, while full-back Love finished as the top scorer in National League Three South last season with an impressive 328 points, including 19 tries.

Both players stand at six foot tall and have pace to burn and Albion's chairman of rugby Graham Dawe believes they can make the step up to Championship level.

"We would not have signed them if we did not think they had potential," said Dawe.

"They are both very keen to challenge themselves at this level."

Meanwhile, experienced players Keni Fisilau, Wayne Sprangle and Ruairi Cushion have also committed their futures to Albion.

Centre Fisilau has agreed to stay for an 11th season, flanker Sprangle for a fourth and scrum-half Cushion a third.
