Your News Student 10's competition at Kingston Park

Newcastle Falcons Kingston Park will again provide the exciting venue for the final of the second St Helier Pear Cider Student 10s on Saturday, October 11.

The premier student rugby 10s competition in the UK will again offer competition in three sections for mens, womens and post graduate teams, with the pre-final rounds of the tournament being played at Northumbria Universitys Bullocksteads Sports Ground.

The mens and womens finals are guaranteed a major audience because they will be played at Kingston Park at half-time and full-time respectively during the European Challenge Cup match between Newcastle Falcons and El Salvador.

A lively atmosphere is assured at Bullocksteads, with live music, refreshment zones and other attractions, while to add to the celebratory mood, supporters are being encouraged to dress in a Spanish theme for both the rounds and the final.

Add the traditional appeal of a social weekend on Tyneside and the tournament offers the kind of sporting appeal that is bound to attract the student rugby fraternity from far and wide.

Teams can be entered online at, while further information can be obtained from event organisers:
