BEDFORD Blues and Moseley, the two Midlands survivors in the Investabroad Properties National Colts Cup, have been kept apart in the semi-finals.

Moseley, who won the inaugural National Colts Cup in 1998, have also been drawn away and will visit Redingensians, who disposed of Leighton Buzzard in the quarter-finals. Moseley progressed to the last four with 22-20 home win over Richmond last Saturday, secured by a last-gasp penalty.

In the National Colts Plate Luctonians, the sole Midlands survivor, will travel to Bishop’s Stortford in the semi-finals in they can win their delayed home quarter-final against Barking which will be played on March 26.

The Investabroad Properties National Colts Cup was introduced in 1997/98 as part of the East Midlands RU’s centenary celebrations. The Plate, for sides beaten in rounds one to three of the Cup, was introduced two years later.
