Your News High Wycombe 51 - Olney 12

Olney travelled away to High Wycombe for an important afternoon of rugby, as not only was it their league fixture, but it would also determine who would go through to the Bucks Cup Final. With the travelling supporters being held up on the motorway due to an accident, they were lucky to just arrive as the game kicked off.

It was the home side who dominated the first half, with a strong front row and pack, who gave the Olney forwards a tough afternoon. The score was 39-0 to the home side, and to be fair reflected their performance of that half.

The second half however Olney became more involved and with Centre, James Padfield and Second Row, Liam Lancaster both scoring a try with Full Back, Jordan Letts converting one took Olney to twelve points. High Wycombe also scored a further twelve points taking the final score to 51-12.

With four league games to play this season and only one being away, Olney need to get back on track with some wins to end their season in a respectable position in the league after what was a superb start to the season. They welcome Wallingford this Saturday.

Tries; J Padfield, L Lancaster

Con; J Letts.
