The summer sevens season is just around the corner and the Manchester Rugby 7s Festival is certainly one tournament hotting up!

The MR7s Festival, entering its third year, will now take place between the 13 - 15 May at Broughton Park FC. The organisers have also confirmed the addition of a number of new social tournaments and a host of entertainment on offer over the three days.

“The new site allows us to re-introduce the social tournaments and off-field entertainment which was a big success for us in 2009. So far the response has been very positive and plans are in place for a great weekend” commented Marco Vaghetti, Tournament Director.

OFF THE PITCH you can expect – Festival Party Marquee with DJs and bands playing music all weekend, Red Bull chill-out wigwam, hot tub, massage girls, fancy dress, kids play zone, rugby camp, VIP hospitality, trade village, a variety of food outlets and much more...

ON THE PITCH you can expect - world class rugby from the likes of Aviva Premiership side Sale Sharks, 2010 Middlesex 7s champions Samurai and a host of international teams, all to be confirmed in the coming weeks. If it is social rugby you are after, there are Ladies, Vets, Boys and a variety of Mens tournaments to enter. Also, don’t miss the Fancy Dress Cup on the Saturday!

“It’s a great day and a great place to watch rugby,” said Phil Greening, former British Lions and England international.

Visit www.ManchesterRugby7s.com to enter your team (from £9pp) or buy festival spectator tickets (from £5pp).

Make sure you visit the Manchester Rugby 7s Festival this summer - a great end of season party!
