MILLWALL'S title-chasing First XV cannot afford any further "slip ups" in their bid for promotion, said coach Dave Roberts after losing out 16-10 to Billericay.

Roberts' side led 3-10 at half-time, despite Billericay enjoying the majority of ball possession at their Stock Road ground.

The Isle of Dogs outfit clung on to their lead into the last quarter of the match but a spirited Billericay fought back to clinch the encounter.

Roberts said: "We didn't get much possession during the match.

"When we did get possession, we looked dangerous but we simply didn't get enough of the ball.

"We led the match for 85 per cent of the game, but when you have to defend as much as we did, you will always find it difficult to hang on.

"We are currently fourth in the league, but if we want to challenge for a top two finish, we can't afford any more slip ups."
