Your News New season brings promise at Millwall

Millwall Lions are back to roar their way to another rugby season as they begin their pre-season training on Sunday, August 10 at Millwall Park.

After a successful season last year in both U14 and U16 age groups, the Isle of Dogs club will be fielding up to four boys teams this coming year in U11, U13, U15 and U17 and are looking for new recruits to help strengthen their playing ranks.

The club also hopes to field a junior girls team this season.

Were extremely excited about the new youth rugby season, said youth chairman Matt Shorrock. Building on the success of last season, we now boast youth teams in four age groups and were looking to push for a junior girls team as well. This is shaping to be a big year for junior rugby in Tower Hamlets.

Once the season begins in September, the training will be as follows:

* Sunday 10:30am-12pm, Millwall Park - All Ages

* Tuesday 6pm-7:30pm, Lower Paddock Mudchute Farm - U15s & U17s

* Wednesday 6pm-7:30pm, Lower Paddock, Mudchute Farm - U11s & U13s

* Thursday 6pm-7:30pm, Lower Paddock, Mudchute Farm - U15s & U17s

All training sessions are free.
