Your News Wallingford 14 - Olney 36

Olney travelled away to Wallingford on the back of another successful performance the previous week, though expecting a hard game as the home side are usually particularly strong on home turf.

It was Olney who started the game with the higher tempo and after Cameron Mclean scored two tries early on out on the wing, it looked like Olney would have a good afternoon of rugby. Although the visitors seemed to have a lapse after the early surge, and the home side made some good runs testing the Olney defence.

Fortunately Olney regrouped and further tries came from the backs making some good breaks which saw Fly Half, Mark Marwood finishing off one move scoring the try under the posts and Outside Centre, James Hawken scoring a try, adding to his tally of points from another afternoon of successful kicking, four conversions and one penalty. With one further try being scored by Olneys man of the match, Flanker, John Robinson.

Overall a satisfactory result for Olney, though they cant afford to become complacent as they travel away once again this Saturday to Marlow, before a top of the table home game on Saturday 4th December against Witney.
