Malvern’s build up towards the new season in Midlands One continues as Director of Rugby David robins announced some more additions to the playing and coaching strength.

“Stewart Doolittle has signed on loan from Stourbridge, where he was a regular member of the “A” side last year. A big second row lock forward on the fringes of Stourbridge’s senior squad, he comes to Malvern for regular first team match experience. We are pleased that we can assist the National League side in developing talent, which works to the benefit of both clubs. I’m also pleased to say that we have enlisted the help of Andy Brown from Gloucester RFC, where he is a coach for the “United” side and also the Hartpury College Freshers XV. Most people in the area are aware that Hartpury is Gloucester’s training campus and provides much emerging talent for the Premiership side, so we welcome Andy’s experience in assisting Andrew Longley in preparing the squad. We are also grateful for the assistance of Liam Hughes of the University of Worcester, who is a conditioning coach charged with fitness training. Liam has a fine pedigree, including some time with Auckland Blues, and his efforts are already paying dividends on training nights. We welcome all new talent, at whatever level, to add to the vibrant and positive atmosphere which surrounds the playing side at Malvern. Training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Spring Lane, commencing at 7.00p.m. “
