Your News Malvern continue to add to signings

Malverns elevation to Midlands One has continued to attract players to Spring Lane, drawn by the prospect of top class intermediate rugby and the excellent facilities on offer. The latest signing announced by Director of Rugby David Robins is that of flanker Bruce Jones, who has played at National One outfit Moseley. Bruce is a welcome addition to the squad said Robins, and I must say I am delighted at the number of players who have wanted to come to Malvern. We have had some excellent training sessions, combining ball skills and fitness and Ive been impressed by the level of commitment shown by the players, especially after some gruelling exercises.

Whilst most positions in the squad are well covered, Robins is still keen for more half back and second row players. The season is long and hard, and the speed and intensity with which the game is played means that some wear and tear through injury is inevitable. Our aim is to have a squad that gives us full cover for the whole season. We are also in need of a forwards coach, having lost Nick Tisdale, who has moved to Lincolnshire and a new job. A player/coach would be ideal to supplement Andy Longleys excellent efforts.
