MILLWALL triumphed in the EDF cup without a ball being kicked on Saturday after rivals Thurston forfeited.

The Suffolk team cancelled the fixture 24 hours before the match, putting Millwall into the next round by default.

Millwall's second team, the Llamas, entertained Thames RFC in a friendly on Millwall Park, with the home side coming out on top 5-0 in a tight encounter.

Meanwhile, Millwall's Under-15s recorded an impressive victory over Bexley on Sunday.

The young Lions roared to a 33-15 win to the delight of coach Gary McLaughlin.

He said: “It was a good game of rugby.

“Bexley dug their heels in and gave us a good run for our money.

“Millwall played as a unit and just seemed to pull everything together as a team.

“They took everything from the training pitch that they have been going over the past few weeks and put it into action on the pitch.”
