OCT

On Sunday 24th October, sixteen Fylde players and coaches including Jason Robinson, Bill Beaumont, Brian Ashton and Mark Nelson, attended a photo shoot for the 2011 Fylde Calendar at Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley. The Calendar will be on sale in December and a percentage of the proceeds will go to Derian House in support of Lancashire County RUFC's commitment to help this excellent cause raise much needed funds.

Lancashire players in attendance included Steve Collins, Steve McGinnis, Sam Beaumont, Oli Brennand, Jonny Roddam and Paul Arnold, all members of last season's Bill Beaumont County Championship winning side alongside former County players and Mark Nelson, the Lancashire Head Coach.

Helen Ashton was taking the photographs for the Calendar, with Matteblack Films shooting a film to go with a promotional video in support of the Calendar and future Lancashire Derian House fundraising activity. The video will feature the Big Picture track Our House which we are hoping will be on sale via YouTube, all proceeds going to Derian House.

In addition, the County Development Centre Projects are launching the BIG BUCKET COLLECTION FOR DERIAN HOUSE.This will be on the weekends of 12th and 19th February when all the Clubs in Lancashire will be asked to carry a bucket collection in support of Derian House at the home game that falls on that weekend. Further details will be announced at the official launch near Christmas.

Lancashire County RUFC Development Programme Manager Mark Nelson commented ;

Fylde are massive supporters of the Lancashire County and we are delighted that they are supporting the County Charity through the Club Calendar. The County is committed to raising funds for Derian House and the Big Bucket Collection through the Development Centres is a simple and effective way of helping out at Club level.
