Yatton Scorers - Tries N Serman.

Maybe complacency, or too much liquid on board, after last weeks hammering of league opponents.

After last Saturdays outstanding performance against league opponents it seemed that a touch of complacency had sneaked in for this friendly match, as Yatton conceded three tries within 15 minutes of the start.

The first half was mainly a one sided affair with only a sniff of an opportunity for the homeside.

But as the celebrations of last week wore off and reality dawned the second half developed into a more evenly based battle as the Yatton gutzy doggedness cleared through some foggy brains.

Man of the Match Chris Hook put in a stonking performance and his team once again began to believe.

Scoring opportunities therefore did come but only one yielded a try as Neil Serman finished off Nick Hughes, excellent service.

Team Captain Lars Hullah commented after the match that his hugely enthusiastic players must learn to plumb in right from the whistle and that increased reading of the game will inevitably solder across securing any potential leaks in the lineup.

Next week the 3rds are off to do a league battle against Old Sulians 2nds.
