Camp Hill Chargers produced a strong performance against newly promoted Buckingham Swans to claim all 4 points keeping them just ahead of Waterloo in the league.

It was a slow start for the Chargers, who let a few easy sitters slip through their fingers, before they pounced into action on the 20th minute scoring a succession of well worked tries including some impressive running by Leanne Ashworth and Antoinette Morgan. With the referee seemingly unwilling to let the first half end the Chargers added an unprecedented four more in as many minutes before the whistle finally blew bringing the score line 30-0 in the Chargers favour.

The Swans clearly seething after Jo Kilby added an early score regrouped storming their way up the pitch, full back ,Johanna Godfrey finally breaking clear to score down right. This proved to be the only dent in the Chargers armour, being the only score for the hosts. Kath Hamilton added another from a cracking run by centre, Charlotte Hewer, who was unlucky not to score herself. Jo Kilby added the last bringing her try scoring tally to

11 for the season. Nancy Stone ended proceedings, converting in extremely windy conditions.

The Chargers now have a week off as they prepare to welcome second place Waterloo to the Shrine on 23rd October.
